will go on sale on line at 8 a.m.
Friday, Oct. 17 for the inaugural
Palm Beach Steeplechase on Saturday,
Nov. 29.
Tickets can be bought on line at

www.palmbeachsteeplechase.com.
Both Internet sites contain complete
details of ticket levels, and a
diagram of the Palm Beach
International Equestrian Center

availability of spaces that can be

The Palm Beach Steeplechase with
$200,000 in prize money for five
races over fences and a celebrity
race on the flat will be held at
PBIEC Stadium on the corner of South
Shore Boulevard and Pierson Road in
Wellington.
The event will feature a wine
festival and beer tent, gourmet
food, a highland pipe band, dove
release, live singing of the
National Anthem and Color Guard,
holiday shopping, Jack Russell
Terrier races, BlackWater Skydivers
with a 1,000 sq. ft. flag, hat
contest, music, Classic Car
exhibition, running of the hounds,
Original Palm Beach Steeplechase
souvenirs and a tailgate contest.
The Steeplechase will have its own
drink, the "Steeplechaser," a
concoction of vodka, peach schnaaps,
Champagne and orange juice, shaken
(not stirred) garnished with a slice
of orange and mint leaves that was
created by Equestrian Club by Tavern
on the Green.
Ticket options include:
General Admission (No reserve
seating) - $20 in advance, $25 one
week prior to race. Standing room
only, bring your own blanket.
VIP
Player's Club Restaurant (No
reserve seating, limited to 450) -
$250, $300 one week prior to race.
Includes: valet parking, all-day
buffet, open bar. Cheer from the
patio or second story of the
Player's Club.
Tailgate Infield or Rail
(Reserved space, limited to 450) -
$250 per car (4 General admission
tickets). The traditional tailgate
experience with numbered 12 ft. x 30
ft. space you pick from the online
map, enough room to set up table and
chairs on the infield or outside
rail. Bring a picnic or order a
gourmet basket from the official
caterer, Equestrian Club by Tavern
on the Green.
Carless Tailgating (Reserved
space) - $350 Includes 8 general
admission tickets, 1 VIP car pass, 1
table, 8 chairs, 1 railside 10 ft. x
10 ft. pop-up tent for family and
friends without cars.
Turf
Club (Reserved table for 8 in
tent, only 36 available) - $600.
