Spanish born Jose Mendez started his training in classical dressage at an early age of 12 at the famous Riding School of Equestrian Art (the Royal School in Spain) and represented Australia internationally at Grand Prix. He is an Official Coach Educator for the Equestrian Federation and one of only 3 ISRB Level 3 coaches world-wide. His starring roles in performances at gala evening shows have always left audiences spell-bound. All levels of riders are welcome. For the first time - the International Society of Rider Biomechanics is offering scholarships for it's 2010 education program.
1. ONE ONLY scholarship for 2010 is available for individuals wishing to undertake the Official Teacher Training Program. This is a fully sponsored scholarship worth nearly $1,000.
2. FIVE scholarships for 2010 will be awarded to Pony Clubs, Dressage/Jumping/Eventing Associations or similar or larger riding barns for either a free theory lecture, ridden demonstration or workshop at their venue. Fully sponsored, worth thousands of dollars and may be used as a fundraiser for your group.

Horse on the forehand?
Round shoulders might be the cause!
The major causes of the rider putting the horse on the forehand are hands too far forward putting the weight on the two front feet, looking down, dropping the chest, and a sure-fire way of putting the horse on the forehand: round shoulders! And saying "get your shoulders back" either to your pupils, or to yourself just doesn't work - you go straight back to round shouldered in an instant...here's ideas that DO work!
