Hi there Hony,

Sorry for the misspelling of your name before:-

Well anyway Slovenia is a home of Lipizzaner horses, I know you know the breed because I saw some pictures on your web site. You can read more about the breed and the breed cradle on the this link:- http://www.lipica.org/?vie=cnt&str=42_eng

My horse is Hanoverian breed and he is 17 years old and very stubborn, kind and spooky. I don't ride him much, just pet him a lot, because he is not suitable for hacking out, cause he gets scared of everything. So i don't want to force him and cause him to much stress, riding should be fun for the both of us, so instead of riding him I just groom him and pet him a lot.

In Slovenia there are many horses, too many, because almost everybody can afford a horse, usually some mix breed, seed of illegal breeding, but there is almost no control over this. The cost of it is that many horses are being mistreated, because people think they were born with all the knowledge and that they do not have to read any books or go to a riding school.

It is so heartbreaking to see that. I try my best to reach as many people as I can, but people usually don't want to hear what I've got to say, so I usually only bother with the young ones, they are the one open enough to learn, but no all. Things are getting better, but to slow for the horses.

My brother also has a horse a young mare called Arabela, she is mix breed, but I forgot what kind of mix. She is very beautiful and my brother works with her on Parelli principles, but she has not been ridden yet.

So if there is anything else you would like to know just ask me.

Take care

Nastja
