This past weekend, 2 of our Eastern Cape riders,
Jade Hooke and Keralyn du Preez travelled to Burlington Stables in Gauteng
to take part in the Discovery Nations Cup.
Jade was a member of the South African Junior Team
and Keralyn, a member of the Children's South African B Team. Lots of
excitement, culminating in the Junior Team coming 2nd to the South African
Young Rider team and the Children's B team 2nd to the A Team.
But the big news is that Jade and her horse, A New
Era, won the Stal Van Dacraen Championship!!!!!!
5 double clears went into the jump off, with Jade
winning with a 3rd clear round!!
This means that next year Jade will travel to
Belgium and ride with Stal van Dacraen. What a wonderful opportunity for a
young rider.
