Hi Alan Thanks for your regular updates. I will be sending you our latest Polocrosse fixture list if that’s ok. Something that really is unnecessary is the unfortunate stigma attached to the word “Polocrosse”. Most people are under the impression that Polocrosse horses are badly treated. Well they are most certainly mistaken. Our horses have to perform to their best, without injury, tying up etc, so it is in our best interest to make sure they are properly fed, fit and taken care of before, during and after a tournament, during the playing season or in the off season. Unlike Polo we don’t have strings of horses to use. Generally we only have one horse to use, but due to the games reaching International standard now, we have to have more horses of similar calibre in our yards for rotation from tournament to tournament. We are also very “picky” as to what bits and tack we use. Schooling is everything otherwise the horse cannot be expected to “operate” adequately on the field as a lot is expected of them. So folks, if anyone would like to know more, the best is to come and watch us in action at a tournament.
