The Lipizzaner Ball

It was indeed One Starry Night! The evening began with champagne cocktails in the courtyard with a display by the stallions around the water trough. Great food by The House of Bonne Cuisine, dancing started early, and everyone had a ball!!! Good food, good wine and good company made for a magical evening.

A Grand Affair

Our wonderful stallions travelled well and performed over five days to over 13,000 people in the Grand Arena, a magnificent indoor Concert Hall, at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World in Cape Town, courtesy of Sun International. Conversano Cyrus

Sadly we had to say goodbye to the great old gentleman, Conversano Cyrus, on 6 November at the age of 24. Cyrus iwll be remembered by all whose lives he touched - which were so many. With his different colouring and very regal and commanding appearance, Cyrus was a big favourite with everyone. He performed the solo and lead the Quadrille for many year with Marianne Conlyn, Chief Rider at the time, and was the 'boss" at the Centre. As his long time rider, Marianne always used to say that Cyrus epitomised the words of the Ode to the Horse. He taught many a young rider the intricacies of high school dressage. We will miss you, Cyrus!

Christmas Performances

Don’t forget to book for our ever popular Carols by Candlelight Performances. A wonderful outing for the whole family. Book at Computicket "Lipizzaners, Carols by Candelight" . Tuesday 16, Wednesday 17, Friday 19, Saturday 20, Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 December. Catering will be provided.
