                Combined Young Children’s classes are at the end of the schedule

Prizes:         Rosettes only. Rosettes will be awarded entirely at the discretion of the judge.     

          Show Rules of the WP & CS shall apply and the judge’s decision is final.

CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES: 12th January 2010

Conditions of entry:

  1. No late, telephonic or unpaid entries will be accepted.
  2. All Pure and Part-bred Welsh Ponies must be Birth Notified and Registered/Recorded with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society and their owners must be members of the Society.
  3. Age of both ponies and riders (where relevant) will be calculated from Date of Birth to the day of the Show.
  4. No entry fees will be refunded if any part of this show is cancelled because of bad weather.
  5. The Show Convenors reserve the right to split, combine or cancel any classes. Novice and Open classes may be combined if there are less than 3 in a class. If classes are cancelled for lack of entries entry fees will be refunded.
  6. No cross entries will be allowed between Show Pony and Show Hunter classes.
  7. No cross-entries of riders between “First Year First Ridden” and First Pony classes
  8. Riders in “First Year First Ridden” classes may not ride in First Working Hunter classes
  9. Riders in Leadrein, “First Year First Ridden” or First Pony classes may not ride in any other type of class.

YOUNG CHILDREN’S CLASSES

(Classes will be split into Purebred Welsh, Partbred Welsh & Non-Welsh if numbers permit)

43   Leadrein pony. (Rider under 9 years.)

44   Leadrein working pony. (Rider under 9 years. To be judged on performance only).

45  “First Year First Ridden”  pony. (Rider under 11 years. To be judged at walk and trot only.) *

46  First pony. (Rider under 11 years. Riders may canter in their individual test if they wish to do so.) *

*   Classes 45 and 46 may be combined if there are less than three entries in each class.

47 First year First Ridden working pony. (Rider under 11 years.  To be judged on performance at walk and trot only.) **

48 First working pony. (Rider under 11 years. To be judged on performance only.  Riders may be asked to canter during part of their test.) **

** Classes 47 and 48 may be combined if there are less than three entries in each class.

49. First working hunter (Not open to competitors from Leadrein or “off-leadrein” classes)

OPEN CLASSES

51 Pet pony obstacle leadrein class. Handlers under 14 years (Handlers to lead pony of any age 

    over 2 years, through a series of obstacles. To be marked as a working test No stallions allowed)

52 Child Handler class. Handlers under 14 (No stallions allowed)

 

ADULT PRE-NOVICE CLASSES

To be judged at walk & trot only. Riders over 18yrs.

Entries will be accepted at the discretion of the organisers

THE COMPETITOR UNDERTAKES NOT TO BRING ANY HORSE TO THE SHOW WHICH HAS AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE, WHETHER NOTIFIABLE OR NOT, OR WHICH HORSE THE COMPETITOR COULD REASONABLY BE EXPECTED TO KNOW HAS INFECTIOUS DISEASES OR MAY BE SPREAD AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE. THE COMPETITOR UNDERTAKES TO WITHDRAW THE HORSE FROM THE EVENT( WITH FORFEITURE  OF ENTRY FEE  ) ,IF SUBSEQUENT TO ENTRY IT SHOULD DEVELOP, OR SHOULD CIRCUMSTANCES ARISE UNDER WHICH THE COMPETITOR CAN REASONABLY BE EXPECTED TO KNOW WHAT THE HORSE HAS DEVELOPED OR MAY DEVELOP, ANY SUCH DISEASE OR ABILITY TO SPREAD SUCH A DISEASE .

Neither Riba Stables nor the W.P.C.S. of South Africa may be held responsible for any losses, damages or injuries sustained by Horses/Ponies, riders, officials, the public or their property.
